  • Potala Yak Cheese Dog Chews are handcrafted by skilled dairy farmers in Nepal, following a traditional Himalayan recipe passed down for generations.

    Once shipped to the United States, each chew is carefully inspected and packaged by our team, ensuring premium quality, safety, and a long-lasting, delicious chew your dog will love.

  • Every dog’s chewing style is different, but for reference, our 45-pound dog Daisy takes multiple 50-minute chewing sessions to finish one Potala Yak Cheese Dog Chew.

  • Once your dog finishes most of the Potala Yak Cheese Dog Chew and you’re left with the small end piece, simply soak it in warm water for 5 minutes, then microwave it for about 45 seconds. It will puff up into a light, crunchy cheese treat let it cool completely before giving it to your dog.

  • Its simple, natural ingredients: milk, lime, and salt.

  • Here are a few safe options:

    1. Soften first, then split: Soak the chew in water for a few hours to soften it, then break it into larger, safer chunks. (Chews should still be bigger than your dog’s mouth to help prevent swallowing.)
    2. Supervised “hold-and-chew”: Hold one end while your dog works on the other. This can slow them down, adds bonding time, and helps encourage calmer behavior around high-value treats.
    3. Warm + cut (carefully): Microwave for about 60 seconds, then while it’s still warm, place it on a cutting board and carefully cut it in half with a sturdy kitchen knife. Give one half at a time—don’t chop it into tiny pieces.
